You’ve had a busy year of DJing, running your label and putting on events, what’s been some highlights?

I relocated to Manchester back in late 2024 and really found some incredibly inspiring friends in 2025, so that would be top of my list!

But our first release (and my first release ever) on SizeTen being played on Radio 1 was definitely close to that. It was quite surreal hearing your own tune in radio.
Yourself and Tenshu started SizeTen Records back in August, how did the label come about?

We’ve always wanted to continue pushing music, I wanted to run dubstep nights and Tenshu wanted to release tunes so we decided let’s do it together!

We love the same kind of Dubstep, and with him having produced for years and me running events for a while our experience made sense.

The name Size Ten is a play on his name, Ten-Shu.

How was the process of setting it up and what are your plans for the future?
We had some help from our amazing friend Sadie who hit the nail on the head with our designs, I think the logo really made everything come to life!
We have a bunch of incredible releases planned for the upcoming months, and events wise we have an event in Sheffield on March 7th which we are running with some very close friends, Sheffield crew save the date .
What’s some advice you would give to anyone looking to set up their own label?

Chat to producers whose style you like, don’t be afraid to scout artists.
Also going to events and meeting people in the same scene really helps with ideas and spreading the word.
"I have a great appreciation for the evolution of sound system music and try to honour that in my mixes."
How did you first get into DJing and how’s the journey been, so far?
I always wanted to DJ, in lockdown I was bored and bought my first pair of decks - Pioneer DDJ200’s. They were small but they were great for the basics, I’m the kind of person who loves trying to things but they don’t always hold out in terms of a hobby.
Luckily, I had a few friends in the rave scene who were on a similar journey so during lockdown when restrictions eased we were at Pirate Studios every weekend.
I then made mixes, sent to promoters and from there began getting sets! My first DJ set was for Beastwang in Leicester, and from there I’ve done some amazing things - such as play on Sinai Sound and supporting names like Kahn & Neek, Neffa-T and Sir Spyro.
What were your early musical influences growing up and what influences your sound today?

I used to be very into metal when I was growing up, your typical scene kid who loved Bring me the Horizon. I then started listening to Dubstep such as Nero and Flux Pavilion.
As I grew older I began listening to everything and just loved being in the rave. Through my journey with DJing and production I’ve found a love for all sound system music. A lot of the style I play specifically comes from the Dub scene. I have a great appreciation for the evolution of sound system music and try to honour that in my mixes.
If you had to describe your sound in three tracks, what would they be?

You’ve been running ‘Into The Jungle’ alongside Doppler, how did the idea for the event come about?

I grew up in Leicester and played there a lot in my early years of being a DJ. One of the things I found is it struggles a bit with underground music and events.
There wasn’t any Jungle events going at the time so myself and Doppler studios began working on the event together. They have been just getting busier and busier and it makes me so proud to know an event I put on has been loved by so many!
What’s the Jungle scene like in Leicester and who are some DJs we should be watching?

The Jungle scene is alive and popping at the moment in Leicester! There’s another event called No Fixed Agenda that put on amazing nights - DJ wise definitely look out for Zeffa, Sage and OneKid! They are all killing it at the moment.
You’re also a resident on Mode Radio, how important is grassroots radio for pushing emerging talent?
For me, having the opportunity to play on Mode and other grassroots radio stations really helped me connect with other DJs and explore my sound.
They give people the opportunity to play out and be heard when they first start and won’t as easily have the opportunity to play at an event!
Who are five women or gender minority artists, DJs or producers, you would recommend?

Cola B (She is an MC but the best around)
What’s coming up for 2026?

We have a Size Ten event coming up in March with the lovely Wavey Jones Locker crew in Sheffield, ITJ at the end of March, and some more tunes to be released!
